Three Methods of Applying Foundation & Oriflame Makeup Sponge Review♥

by

Hello, beautiful readers! I just finished my long week full of finance classes where I was bored to death… Don’t judge me but you should know that the whole week we had a German teacher who had to teach all the 14 courses from one semester in one week. You can imagine now how it is to have 1 hour and a half, 3 to 5 classes per day. And as a plus, the room where we had these classes had no wifi. I am so glad that it ended…

Now going on with the interesting stuff, I want to say that this post was inspired by receiving the Professional Makeup Sponge by Oriflame. I saw all these Beauty Blenders out there and always wanted to try something similar to it, but never thought too seriously about purchasing one online because I had my E.L.F. Powder Brush and I was really pleased with the way my foundation looked. Then a few couple of weeks ago I saw this Makeup Sponge and said I really should try this out.

And I bought it. 2 days ago I went to take the package and the next day I tried it. I was super amazed! I mean, this product really works. All you have to do is to use it wet. Don’t apply the foundation with this sponge dry because it will absorb all the product and you will say it won’t work! I just soaked it in a bowl of water and after that I squeezed it. Now you can use it for applying the foundation. After 4 hours of intense activity, like going into the town for business and coming home, my face was so clean, and smooth, and the foundation was still there even if I haven’t settled it with powder! You definitely should try this tool because you will be amazed by the way it works!

Now moving on to the 3 ways in which a foundation can be applied, I must say something first: NEVER USE YOUR FINGERS FOR APPLYING FOUNDATION!  This is a fatal error which anyone can do when it comes to foundation because of one important aspect: your hands have and will always have grease and you can’t avoid combining the foundation with that, thus your face won’t look good after doing that. We can use our fingers for applying a creamy eye-shadow, a concealer but never the foundation. This is my opinion. I did that in the past, when I first started make up, but after I used a brush for this step, I  sticked to it.

IMG_1747The first brush is a classic foundation brush which, I suppose, is known by everyone. I started applying foundation with this one but I always felt I was using way too much product for a daily coverage.

IMG_1751This brush I’ve been using for a year now and I am still using it. This product buffs the foundation in and works so much better than the classic foundation brush. I bought it from E.L.F. and it is named Powder Brush from the Studio Range.(22 lei/ $7)

IMG_1746This is the last method and maybe the best one. I really recommend this stuff! I hope you will try it and if you do so, then make sure you you mention it in the comment box bellow. You can find it at Oriflame for only 13 lei. ($4)

That’s all for today. Good bye, my beautiful friends!
